Voice Backup Power Solutions
Loop voice service uses electrical power to function. If power is lost, a battery backup unit will provide power to phone equipment and keep it connected to make phone calls, including emergency 911 calls. Installing a battery backup unit is optional for voice service. Battery backup units only provide access to Loop voice service during a power outage. Loop is not responsible for any customer owned equipment.
Backup Options
Loop recommends the following battery backup solutions. Loop customers may obtain these backup devices by purchasing them on their own through retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy, or through the manufacturer directly at APC.com. Loop customers may also contact Loop at 888-808-5667 and request one of these devices. Customers will be billed for the cost of the device along with any applicable shipping and handling charges.

Installation
To install the battery backup unit, connect the power cord from the unit to a wall electrical outlet. Plug the electrical adapters from the Loop equipment into the device. For more detailed instructions, please review the manual that is provided with the battery backup unit selected.
Warranty
Loop does not provide a warranty for the devices listed, but the manufacturer may. If an issue is experienced with the unit, please contact the manufacturer for assistance.
Technician Assistance
A Loop technician can be sent to the customer’s location to assist in the installation. Loop may charge a trip charge.
