What was announced today?

Greenlight Networks, a leading fiber-to-the-home provider, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Loop Internet, initially announced on July 8, 2025 Loop has been providing high-speed fiber Internet services in the Scranton area since 2015. Earlier this year, Greenlight expanded its fiber network into the Dickson City area. The combination of Greenlight Networks and Loop Internet will fuel continued growth and digital opportunity for residents and businesses across Northeastern Pennsylvania and beyond 

Why is this good for Loop employees and the community?

By leveraging Loop’s network, infrastructure, operations and personnel, this acquisition will further accelerate the expansion of broadband Internet access across Northeastern Pennsylvania. Loop Internet provides Greenlight with valuable local talent and market expertise, and together the combined company will serve more customers faster with future-ready fiber. 

Greenlight plans to build on Loop’s strong local reputation and excellent customer service model.  Loop’s dedicated employees are a key part of this acquisition, and all were asked to join the Greenlight team. The company currently provides fiber internet services in parts of Wilkes-Barre, Mountain Top, Scranton, and Kingston; with several neighboring communities under construction and coming online soon. How does this announcement impact current and future Loop Internet customers?

It’s business as usual. There are no immediate changes to any services currently provided by Loop.

Loop will continue to operate business as usual, so there is no change to customer support. Our focus remains on best serving your Internet needs.

Loop will continue to operate business as usual for the time being, so there is no change to bill support. Our focus remains on best serving your Internet needs.

Will my current Loop contract be valid after the transaction is complete?

Any contracted service with Loop will be provided through the term of your agreement, just as it is today.

Will there be price changes?

There are no changes to pricing right now. If anything changes in the future, you’ll be notified in advance. 

Will I get faster speeds or new features?

Yes—over time. Greenlight will be investing in the network to expand coverage and increase speed options. We’ll share updates as these improvements roll out. 

What happens to the Loop Internet team I know?

The same local team will continue supporting you. You’ll still see the familiar faces you trust. 

Will my privacy or account information be affected?

Your existing privacy and account protections remain in place. If we make changes to policies in the future, we’ll let you know first.

What if I’m moving or want to change my plan?

For now, you’ll continue to work directly with Loop Internet. Once the transition is complete, new service options may be available through Greenlight.
